i think that anyone who has ever been to dodger stadium has loved it unless you are a fan of their rivals lol petco park in san diego is nice, too. located downtown san diego. i've seen the padres play at their old stadium (as a youngster) and the new one (bout 2 yrs ago). btw i like the padres as well so i know that feeling :0/ lol

hmmm what kind of foods? the quick and easy straight out of the package kind? ;0) gotta get bk to the football, right? lol i understand that it's an escape. i have this feeling that you don't go overboard on sports. btw i enjoy baseball, but if i miss a game, i'm fine.

ok, documentaries my current hubs can handle. an old movie not so much haha ooo does your current hubs watch indie or foreign films? current hubs says he can't watch foreign films cos he can't read and watch at same time hahaha guess he's not good at multitasking, eh? dang...he cooks dinner, too? something is not right here lol ;0)

i agree that it's ok to make sports a family event as long as ya don't plan your life around it. speaking of which...just saw a 'true life' episode on mtv. i'm recording it. guess what it's called? 'i'm a sport fanatic' lol

btw i guess i could say that my hubs doesn't plan his whole life around it cos he has his kid and work. if he's not talking about his son playing sports, then it's about work, if not work, then it's just about his kid in general. i tune out a lot of crap lmao

I would like to go to Dodger Stadium in order to see that relaxed feeling. It's kind of the same at Minute Made Park, except that we're so used to losing everyone shuffles out in an orderly fashion with our heads down.

I also had a husband like that ---one of many reasons he is my EX. My current husband would rather watch an old movie or a documentary. I don't remember his watching an entire football game, not even the Super Bowl when the home team won, in 25 years of marriage. He cooks dinner, too.

No, I will not trade him for anyone's football-loving hunk.

I will be the first to admit, I have been a version of the similar talked about DB that you described. When something doesn't go how it was planned, I have been know to be a little on the inflexible side in relaxing and going with the flow. Of course, I have excuses and reasons why the plans can't be altered, but that's all they are is excuses. I'm working on it. As for midwesterners, we do wear our colors- that's for sure. Some sports events are almost like a holiday. The family meets in front of the game on TV and together it becomes a family event. I think that this is ok as long as your life doesn't revolve completely around it, making sure to have a variety of family events that don't revolve around the TV.-Jason

haha @ cali is cali...not to me. i'm a big time southern cali girl. so cal is relaxed, nor cal a lil more uptight but definitely artsy (well, at least san francisco is better...everyone around here where i live are too conservative for me lol)
