Ciara's Ramblings and Whatnot: Road to College Part 2

  • SurprisedMom · 3 months ago
There are some very valuable points the authors make here. I wonder how much their advice is followed? It seems curriculum choices don't change very much from state to state. And, if you have decided on a few colleges you want to attend, check out their requirements. My daughter took four years of a foreign language in high school and it's paying off big time in college.
Are you following a similiar game plan so your girls get into college?

SM i am definitely trying to follow this plan that is outlined in
California. Some high school classes can be considered for college or some
students can take college courses while in high school if they take AP
courses and really work hard. I'm hoping my girls will work hard enough to
at least have all their courses they take from here on in to make the
difference. California is a little tougher with their high school
requirements. It is the one thing I'm grateful for in living here unlike
Las Vegas where teachers worried very little if you'd make it out of high
    school or not. :-/

BTW I actually read an article where a boy of around 18 was graduating, in
where i believe, from both high school & college at the same time. I'll
    have to look for it.
